Asni Tours & Travel · Central KL, by van
A shared van with an English-speaking driver takes up to 15 people round Merdeka Square, the National Mosque, the Petronas Towers, Thean Hou Temple and the palace gate in three and a half hours. Pick it for the price: it's the lowest on this site, and the stops are the same as many tours that cost more.

Asni Tours & Travel sells several versions of this tour; the from-price is for the Sharing Tour, a seat in a van with up to 15 people. Private versions and add-ons for Batu Caves or the Kuala Selangor fireflies cost more, so check which option you're paying for. Pickup is free at selected hotels in the centre, about 3 km from KLCC; outside that, the listing adds USD 10 per person, payable on the day, or you meet at MaTiC, 109 Jalan Ampang, in front of the Harriston Chocolate Boutique.
Five stops get time: Dataran Merdeka (20 minutes), the National Mosque, the Petronas Towers, Thean Hou Temple and Istana Negara, 20 minutes each. The railway administration building, the botanical gardens, the National Monument and the museums are drive-bys. The listing includes an English-speaking driver, not a guide.
Be honest about the reviews. Most recent ones are good and name friendly drivers (Raja, Albinhar, Aris). Older ones are mixed: late pickups, a rushed tour, a driver who knew little history, and one guest in 2024 who said the tour went to three shops. A guest who liked it called it cheap "if you think of it as transportation", which is the right way to see it. The square is free and open all day, so you can go back.
Free pickup at selected central hotels; otherwise wait at MaTiC by the Harriston Chocolate Boutique.

Masjid Negara, after a drive past the railway administration building and the gardens.

★★★★★Albinhar our guide was great. He gave us history, answered questions, took us as close as possible to each & every stop & checked on our welfare.
★★★★★On time friendly driver who gave us a great run down on the city taking photos of us at all the sites. Allowed us to see what we may want to return to in our own time, which we later did. Plenty of time, not rushed.
★★★★★Our tour took away all the hassle of transportation, parking, and access. We were able to just enjoy the sites. [...] Our driver, Rajan was well spoken and knowledgeable enough to answer our unscripted questions about anything related to Malaysia.

It's a shared van with a driver and short stops, and the sights it visits are free. Read it as transport with commentary. The private and Batu Caves options on the same listing cost more.
